This client conducted all their development in-house, but encountered problems when it came to miniaturising a dustproof barcode scanner cover. Ideal Industrial replaced their proposed design, which included six retaining screws, with one two-clip injection moulding that passed all ingress and drop tests.

The design had to be styled and engineered to integrate seamlessly with the hand-held computer. Part count reduced, cost reduced, simpler assembly, more robust design… client and customers happy!
